SASUSU Radio inviterer til radioprogram Verdens ende #2 med Thayaparan Nagalingam, Odd-Arne Arntzen og Hilde Bersvendsen.

Odd-Arne og de andre kameratene stirrer forbauset på den nye eleven i klassen. I mellomtiden har den litt eldre sosialantropologistudenten Hilde tatt turen til Vardø for å lage en studie rundt tamilenes liv i fiskenæringen. Et grufullt minne om en viss skinkelukt fra kolonialen har satt seg fast i neseborene til den nyankomne unge Thayaparan, etter å ha blitt omplassert på motsatt side av jorda som følge av krigen i hjemlandet.  

I andre utgave av radioprogrammet Verdens ende møter vi to tidligere Vardøværinger, Thayaparan og Odd-Arne, som deler sine minner om livet som barn og ungdom i Vardø. Her vil vi bli kjent med den sosiale dynamikken mellom tamilene og Vardøværingene som utviklet seg fra seint 80-tallet til tidlig 2000, i tillegg til å se på fiskerinæringen i Nord-Norge og dens innvirkning på norsk innvandringspolitikk.

SASUSU Radio invites to the radio show The End of the World #2 with Thaya Nagalingam, Odd-Arne Arntzen and Hilde Bersvendsen.

Odd-Arne and his other mates stare bewildered at the new member of their classroom . In the meantime Hilde, the young and aspiring social anthropology student, has taken a trip to Vardø to do a study on the Tamils in the fish industry. A horrible memory regarding a certain smell from a sliced ham in the local grocery store is stuck in the nostrils of the newly arrived young Thayaparan, after being displaced to the other side of the planet as a result of the war in his homeland. 

In the second instalment of The End of the World we meet with two former Vardø inhabitants, Odd-Arne and Thayaparan, who will share their memories of growing up in Vardø. We will learn about the social dynamics between the Tamils and the locals, as this relation developed from the 1980s until the early 2000s, as well as the interplay between the fishing industry and implementation of Norwegian immigration policy.

Opprinnelig fra et hip hop univers tok han steget med å sample alt som får folk til å bevege på seg. Hans tidligere radioprogram Audiophrénie er en neologisme skapt for å presentere hans syn på musikk. En musikalsk ferd inntil Verdens Ende.

Originally from a hip hop universe, he took a leap towards sampling and began to take an interest in anything that gets people moving. Audiophrénie, his former radio show, is a neologism invented to present his vision of music. A musical stroll until The End of the World.
